Those are some crazy averages haha. I get like 1 dime per 500 searched. I know most people on here get like 1 per 250 searched. So you getting 1 per 100 searched is definitely a score! Nice finds dude

I'm averaging about 1 1/2+ per box, going back 18-months. Keep on stacking.

Obviously a small sample size, but at 3 dimes per $300 searched, you are averaging 2.5 silver dimes per $250 dime box.

So far for me in 2013, 838 dime boxes have netted 1,621 dimes (1,445 Roosevelt, 165 Mercury, 11 Canadian) for a 1.93 per box average.

My dime average last month was 0.79 per box. Not my best month.

Dodged a bullet dumping the clad dimes. I had dumped a little over 2/3 of the dimes into a coin counter when the machine stopped working. No one at the bank was able to get it running again and the teller and I had to reach in and extract a lot of uncounted dimes that were in various places in the machine when it stopped. As I was moving dimes around to pull them out I heard a few drop down into some other part of the machine. One fell into the halves bag and I pulled it out (no Ag in there, I looked) but others probably fell into the dime bag in the back and were not counted. Anyway, I did the best I could and then dumped the remaining dimes at another bank this morning. Somehow the two dumps came in at a little over $300, so no loss and a little gain. Also snagged a little bit of foreign at each bank.

I may crank up dimes since I don't have many great options for dumping halves right now, but it doesn't take much miscounting or other coin machine errors to wipe out the value of the few Ag dimes I may find.

Picked up $25 in CWR dimes today - one '58d Roosie!

I am starting to like dimes. Silver Roosies probably pass through a lot of hands unnoticed.

I have searched some dimes here and there from time to time, but today I picked up $300 in CWRs from one bank. Scored 3 silver Roosies out of 3000 dimes. For all you dime searchers, is that below average, above average or about right?

So thats 1 silver out of every 1000 searched, not the best average out there...

You might be confused; he said one silver per 1,000 dimes searched, not one per $1,000.
That's an excellent average, I can't recall anyone on here maintaining that kind of dime average, unless we are talking one hunt only.

I'm close at .734 silver dimes found per 1,000 dimes searched but in a slightly bigger sample size (2,607,500 dimes searched so far in 2013 with 1,914 silver dimes found).
