Have you CRH'ers checked your 1964 Halves yet?

There are many different varieties of doubled dies on the 1964 halves, both P and D. There are about 10 listed in the Cherrypicker's Guide, with some being valued up to $35 in the lower uncirculated grades. My dad and I look through his stash of 1964's, and we found a nice triple-die than he didn't know he had, along with a double die. They are relatively common, and are usually discernable with a naked eye. The main pick-up-point (where you cand find the error most easily) in the motto IN GOD WE TRUST. I sure many of you know about these, but there are some who don't. It's always exciting finding varieties of this magnitude for face value.

The picture is a triple-die. These errors are most easily discerned by looking at the serifs on the letters, although some are found because the lettering is thicker than normal.

Have fun and happy hunting!

I hope I posted this in the right forum, so I don't get a disgruntled member posting otherwise.

Good tip. Don't forget the other Kennedy varieties. I've found several 1966 DDOs, 1974 D DDOs, and no FGs from 72D, 82P, 83P, and 77D. Most of these are listed in Cherrypickers too. I've even got two of my 74 D DDOs certified MS 64 by NGC. Lots to look for with this hobby!!!!

I know about these as well. I just Isolated this date because I know all the CRH'ers have 1964 Kennedy's and keep them aside in their stacks.
