1960 Lincoln..... Memorial on obverse is double images, at almost right angles to each other. Never seen anything like it. The overlay Memorial looks like it is the reverse image of the normal stamped Memorial. Almost like it fell off another coin and landed on top during processing.

I believe what you have there is commonly refered to as "glue".

You can see right through the "copper overlay," not trying to be smart but if it were copper you wouldn't be able to see through it. It's glue as in someone had a bottle of Elmers and decided to glue 2 pennies together.

Hey midntmn, it's nice to see you posting again, unfortunately it is glue that you have on the cent, but good eye!

Coin machine reject found today. I think I will keep it as a souvenir. The good side is that it is a 1960 - so it is still worth more than 1 cent.

Ace 350
Soak in acetone and see what happens. If it is glue it will quickly dissolve. 91% alcohol may also work.
