Side check dimes?

Decided to pick up some CWR dimes today. I just started coin roll hunting recently and
pretty much only hunted halves and pennies.
Do you guys do side checks for silver in the dimes just like halves?
looks like it might be a little more tricky with dimes.
Dont know if I trust my eyes on these little guys.

The teller asked me if I was looking for silver. I said yes.
She pulled a 54 Rosie out of her tray and swapped it for a clad in one of my rolls so
I know I'm not skunked at least!

Rim check (pulling out anything that looks different) + sound check. Just like halves...only smaller.

Not as bad as I thought it might be now that I am digging in to them.
I guess the key is good light.

I just edge check. Dimes can play tricks on the eyes sometimes, at least for me.

If I have a mix of coin, like a box of dimes and a box of halves, I like to do the dimes first. Just easier for me to go from small to big.

Yeah, lighting is key for sure. I could never tell sound checking dimes unless I hit it really hard on table but then I have dimes bouncing all over the place lol

Dimes are indeed tedious. The times I have done them and face checked I felt like my wrist was going to fall off after about three rolls, gets me feeling all carpal tunnely.

for some reason I don't think my wife would be happy about that!

it would be nice to have a few tellers like that.
this bank is outside my normal area I but I won't forget about it when I'm on that side of town again.

I only edge check. Some people only date check. It depends on your preference. Good lighting is key in either situation though.

Because I search about $1,000 in dimes at a time, (includes re-rolling), I set aside about 2 hours.

Light doesn't matter, as when I edge search I can smell the silver.
