My first roll has a 40%er, and I thought it was going to be easy.

Not sure if you got spared an ill fate, or just some bad luck :)

I'd run far away. Far far away. The obsession is a losing proposition.

Give it one more try and then give up if you are unsuccessful. Just remember what the fine print said when you signed up - You must abide by the majority vote here.

WoW a lot of sarcasm here and if that's what it takes to be a successful coin roll hunter maybe I should try again!! Lol

Glad you can smell the sarcasm
Honestly this hobby costs me a lot more than if I were to just go buy the ag sometimes- there are many times I wish i would've never started- and I havent even hit a good box yet- hmmmm why do I continue? Lol

Yes, a few points if you continue:

1. You will not "get rich" off this. You'll be lucky if you break even value wise. It's all in the hunt, really.

2. Listen to us. Really, do what we suggest. There's a reason you don't pick up and dump at the same branch. Those that push the boundaries have seen themselves cut off or had their accounts closed. Multiple people. It's better to just roll with the punches and lie low.

3. Set yourself some limits. If you don't, you can really go crazy doing all this.

If I didn't find anything on my first try, I would have quit. My first hunt was a teller tray and it produced 1 90% and 7x 40% out of $8 in halves total. Since then I have wasted a ton of time and gas money on this hobby and it is never worth it. I think I'm going to quit soon and my advice to you would be to quit before you get sucked in. It's really not worth it. Just buy some silver if you want it. Hunting for it is not worth it.

I do halves beginning October, after Christmas I switch to pennies looking for errors and have quite a few.
