They must not have added in the silver. Next time you order coins tell them to make sure they put silver in the rolls

I think the first 4 boxes I searched were skunks. Since then, I have found 1000s of silver coins. It just requires a little patience & elbow grease. It's still out there.

Haha. When I did pick up a box at the bank they said "your silver, er, half dollars are here." I was in hopes that was a good sign. Lol

Been through about 1000.00 in halves and no silver! I've only gotten about 6 post 2001 nifc halves. Tired of being skunked.

If this is a serious post, then with all due respect, CRH is definitely not the hobby for you.

I'm brand new to the hobby. In the beginning I was having great luck. It sounds like I should adjust my expectations and increase my volume.

Welcome. If you expect to find silver from every $1000 worth, you will be disappointed my friend.
Good Luck.

I've only found 4 x 40% out of my last 18 boxes. Just gotta get through all the lousy boxes to get to the good ones......if you're lucky.

Wish there was a time-machine so you could travel back to 2007 or 2008 when the price of silver was $10. You could find silver almost in every box then.

Hell, why not go back to 1964?

All silvers? How would you CRH?

I met one dentist who started in 1955. All he did before 1964 was looking for S-mint walkers and 1955 1C-ddo. Not as fun as CRH in 2008.

Yes, but knowing that the precious metal would be removed (except 40%ers) for 1965 would of made every coin a keeper.
Upside, no dump banks needed, down side, huge bankroll needed.

haha, you should take up golf. To put it in perspective: I search upwards of 50 boxes a week and I dump all of that into one coin supplier. So if you were ordering from the supplier that I dump into then that would be $25,000 worth of clad every week that is getting added to your supply that you are searching. There may also be silver getting mixed in with that clad at the sorting facility, but that is a huge amount of clad that you have to sort through to get to the silver. I'm not trying to scare you off, just letting you see that to be successful you need to either be extremely lucky or search a lot of volume and expect a lot of skunks to go along with the silver that you do find.

Good luck.

Not in 1964. In 1964, silver was $1.20 per oz. Full melt value of 90% coinage would have been worth a bit less than face value (approximately 0.87 x face value).
If your time machine dropped you in 1964, you would be better off to just buy fine Ag bullion.
