Proof or Uncirculated coin in bank roll?

I'm new to the hobby of CRH. I'm confused about how is it possible to find a proof(or uncirculated) coin in a bank roll? It seems to me a contradiction in terms. Is there anybody out there who can enlighten me? Regards.

Proof is a designation of a special die. People break open and spend proof coins all the time, so they show up in boxes.

Uncirculated is a grade, not a chronological history of the coin. Very nice condition coins found in circulation are routinely found in circulation.

Proof isn't a coin's condition - its a method of manufacturing. Proof coins are struck differently to give them a glossy finish. Even if a proof coin has been circulated it can still retain most or at least some of its glossy finish unless its been heavily circulated. Although since proof coins were never meant to be circulated, circulated clad proof coins may not have much if any value over fv.

And its possible to find circulated regular strike coins that are still in mint state condition even if they have been lightly circulated. So if a circulated coin is still in MS 60 condition or better its considered in uncirculated condition even though its been in circulation. New coins that have just been minted will remain in uncirculated condition for a while until enough wear from circulation decreases their condition to less than MS 60 condition. Sorry if that all sounded rather redundant lol.
