I dreamed up an idea to store my halves and Ikes in Poker Chip Cases. I ordered some and they came in today. $13 each for the cases. Case # 1 holds 128 Clad Ike Dollars and 1248 40 % Silver Kennedy Halves.
Case #2 holds 212 Clad Ike Dollars and 1040 40% Silver Kennedy Halves. It also is storing a full roll of UC 1971s and a roll of 87 Proofs. I have also found 9 pounds of 90% Halves. My search partner has appropriated all of the Walkers and Bennies that we found.
Trust me, I am not bragging. I wanted to show you how crazy this hobby can get. Good luck to all, Jim

Very nice, I keep some of my best coins displayed in a poker table. Its one where it looks like a regular table until you take the top off.

You are not going to believe this, but last night I was playing poker at my local casino/cardroom and hit a Royal Flush in diamonds and was awarded a cheesy composite poker set. My wheels started racing, as I already had a poker set, and just finished putting my 40%ers into it about one hour before I read your message.

Hehe, what a coincidence.

(I ended up adding a little padding to the top as the halves are smaller and therefore looser in the case than chips.)

If I might say so, you deserve praise for a brilliant idea!!! :D

If they are fire proof it would be great. My last large coin collection went through a fire and did not make out very well. Sold the silver off but still have $150-$200 face value of wheat pennies melted into a solid mass to remind me not to keep everything together.

Almost everything was pulled from circulation mid 70's (CRH)
