What was your best day?

Mine was yesterday. I had dreamed of finding a solid roll of silver halves, and finally did at a little bank yesterday. Plus my son was with and helping me search, we had a blast together. Now he's hooked!

congrats on you and your sons find. a couple months ago i found 12 solid rolls of silver at one bank. which was my first bank to search ever. now everything else seems like a dissapointment. but someone has to find em.

My best day was probably when I found 2 barbers. I did find a roll of silver one time. It was funny because I had no one to show them to, so I showed them to a little kid about 4. She was not impressed and said she did not want any, as she had money at home.

Best day was when I stumbled across 7 complete rolls of 90% silver halves. Got two barbers, a 1906O and a 1907. Also got some of the pretty scarce date Walkers...I forget exactly which but coins in the $30-$40 range. I was elated, to say the least.

On 3-12-07 I hit 11 banks and bought $477 in halves. I found 2 complete silver rolls and others that gave me----8-Walkers, 5-Franklin, 11-90% and 28-40%. Now if I could just come close to this again.

What a Jackpot! Love it, sticking it to man. I wonder if the cameras caught the huge smile on your face and the little dance you did! Security was probably scratching their heads. Certainly wasnt gambling and yet you won a jackpot!!!

Mine was a Saturday morning search....7 full rolls out of 22. Couldn't wipe the smile from my face....lol.

Tim - That will be very hard to top.....has to be the find of the year!

Immy - What a hit! Yes, your a brave man......walking 2 blocks, I would have ran.....ha!

As for as finding Barbers......give me oxygen!!!

Finding a roll of platinum eagles in a halves wrapper, and on the inside of the wrapper was a treasure map leading to a long-lost gold mine! hahaha. seriously, my best day was finding 391 Ikes at a bank. They were in halloween-themed sandwich baggies and sorted into $50 lots. No silver, but most were AU or better. I'm not too active at CRHing currently (go to the bank only once a week now), but I do hope to beat this one day by finding some insane amount of silver. HH!

Mine was a couple months ago. I found 31 Mercs and 11 silver rosies out of $200.00. I have found more silver in halves at one time but never that many dimes.
