...were much better today. I've got almost all of the hand-rolled pennies from the banks in my town, which probably made them dig out the older rolls in their teller drawers.

2900 pennies yielded 1208 coppers. 24 rolls worth out of 58, much better odds. Once bank had old rolls, 15 of them. Out of those 15 rolls (750 pennies), came 544 coppers. I did those first, and thought the rest would be sorry compared to them, but I was rather surprised.

No Canadian cents today, and only 2 wheats, a '42 & a '58D. The wheats have come slowly for me, 21,300 pennies searched with only 42 wheats. Almost to my goal of 25,000 pennies Searched.

Great ratio Scott....almost half of them were pre 82's. Your accumulating quite a bundle of them.....Congrats!!

What is a roll worth nowadays?

I think a .50 cent roll of coppers is worth $1.16 per roll now.
