Magician's coin. Look for a seam along the edge and crack that baby in two.

There is a seam on the face along the raised rim. I will work it apart a little later...

I have a two-tailored coin which is made of 1964. I can see the D-mintmark on one side. Never found a silver two-headed one.
I think they are supposed to be glued together. You must've used force to open it.

interesting, I have a 2-headed 1964 half dollar, I know that it is not silver since it makes a thud sound when dropped, but the edge really looked like an uncirculated 90% when I opened the roll. I have set that aside from my silver stack since its a novelty coin.

I would say the reverse is clad, not silver.

Both heads coins are 1968 coins. The inner core is predominantly copper while the outer clad is predominantly silver.

I rattled it around in a glass jar, there was no glue. Doesn't look like it was ever glued. It fit quite tight when it put it back together. I had to press it in a vise between two pieces of wood to get it back together!

I think the thud noise is attributed to the fact that there are two pieces of metal which are held together but not fused. It is like dropping a bag of silver spoons versus dropping just one. It doesn't allow the sound to ring through the piece and create the ring a silver coin normally creates. I have no doubt the coins are genuine.
