Was at the store today and asked at the bank in the store if they had any half dollars ( they usually save any they get for me ). None today but, he got in a 1953 red seal $2.00 bill and asked if I wanted it. It is in average circulated condition. It's now my sons first red seal.

:coffee2: There are people here on TNET who save the red seal currency. A bill in circulated condition usually doesn't have much value. It depends upon the amount of the bill, the date of the bill & who signed the bill (Treasurer of the United States & Secretary of the Treasury). Your local library should have a book on currency in its referenced section. That might be a useful guide for you. Anyway nice find as you don't run across many of them (red seals) bills now a days.

Thanks Gary
I did not expect that it has any value more than $2.00. I am just real happy to be sharing collecting, whether it be coins or currency, with my son.
