Haven't posted in a while, finally got something worth posting!

It's been a while since my last post, I've been getting little scores here and there but haven't had much time to search. Finally got my first full roll of silver. I've had several near full rolls, my previous record being all but 1 silver in a half dollar roll. I figured since I hit a milestone for myself I'd post it. I got my first solid roll, and it's quarters!

7.232 oz of silver for 10 bucks. Nice. Quarters are tough, too.

more info, how does one find such rolls???? just finished 2000 great clad quarters( a bunch of '65's) in my last box. 45 boxes= 4 proofs and 4 silvers. CWR's are even worse with lots of short rolls from wanna- be bank robbers:-(

Wow !!
According to Silver Melt Value Calculation - Coinflation , $109.45.

That's a better return than the Stock Market. :laughing7:

I'm really curious, do folks actually melt down these coins?
I assume so, but don't know if that's legal (?).
Also, I guess you have to subtract the time & the fuel costs to melt the coins from the "earnings".

I do realize this is a hobby, and not a "get-rich-quick" scheme.
I literally just gave a whole box of change to my niece & nephews (ages 9, 13 & 15), mostly dimes, nickels and quarters.
It came to $383.00 I wonder how much "silver" was in there? (Not that I really have the time to melt anything!)

Chances are most silver coins aren't melted, just resold with the ebb and flow of silver prices.

It is legal, but why melt when they are worth much more in coin form?

"Please exchange for pre 1965 coins." Works every time.
