I started CRH a couple months ago. Went to all the banks in my town. Cleaned them out. Ordered a couple of boxes. So So results. About 20 or so 40% only 2 90%. Also almost filled in my coin book.64-84, no 1970 yet.Been holding off lately, because of gas prices. Went out yesterday,to several banks nearby. Round trip was only 20 miles or so. My little POS car gets 30 MPG or so.Found one 40% in loose halves. Got $30 dollars in rolls. I hit a bank that I bought $300 in rolls. When I got to the car I noticed one roll had$1.50 each on it in pen. I peeked inside and saw my first BEN..... Opened the other end and saw another BEN.... Got home and searched all.Three rolls had the same $1.50 each marking.Total take, 34 BENS,19- 90% 20-40%. Did I pay for gas?????? I'm hooked. By the way, any key dates in the bens to look for?

Great haul Bob!! WTG. That is why I love hitting the banks over boxes....better chance of the "big hit". You just never know until you try. Again congrats.

The 55 is a key date.

Makes you wonder how long they have been sitting in those rolls.....how long ago was a Franklin worth $1.50 each ???

Yes, I think your gas was paid for....ha! Thanks for the pictures. Keep em coming......

The last time a franklin half was worth "only" $1.50 was a little less than 4 years ago.And a 40% half was worth little over face value. Not even enough to make shipping them pay off unless you had a HUGE amount.

How many of you hardcore searchers would be breaking your backs hustling so many boxes if a 90% were only worth $1.50 and a 40% a little above face ???Would it be worth your time-effort...GAS... ???Ask yourselves...
