i have $710 and i am going to a coin show this weekend. i want to try to get a 1916-D merk. do you think it is possible? or should i get one of the other;
1909 S VDB wheat or last time i saw a PCGS 20 dollar gold coin in MS-65 for only $700

If those are the coins you've narrowed your choices to, I'd say get whichever is in the highest grade.
