I had more fun than ever going through this box, well, at least until half way through when I found Zip. I took a break and went and looked at the first half of the box under the loupe, especially the 1974's and moved them out of the way.
I kept unrolling and finally found a coin. It was a 2014 NFC coin that somebody wrote on and ruined all my fun. Why write on a coin with marker just because you don't want to save them? I guess I agree with others on the thread. Please don't write on the coins.
Then I found a NFC 2011 coin that nobody wrote on. Yay! It is nice and shiny and looks good under the loupe.
I was down to my last 2 or 3 rolls and finally....finally pulled a 40% 1968 Silver coin in fairly good condition.

I think I will try this again sometime in the near future since I have a bank that will happily order them for me. I will just dump them somewhere else little by little.
In the meantime I am going to find some rolls of customer wrapped rolls
and get me some other wrapped coins to carry me through.
Thank you for looking. Happy Hunting my friends.

It's nice finding one, at least. I went through a lot of boxes before I found my first silver.

I went on a little road trip on Friday asking for half dollar rolls, I waded through a little over $500. ($50 here , $200 there ) took me all day to find my first silver of the year- a single 40 percent 1968 .

MacGirl: hang in there, through thick & thin(skunks), eventually you will find some AG. Remember it's only a HOBBY, at least to most of us. Good luck & congrats, DozerD

I have a secret that I've been using the last week. Its yielded about 300 silver coins. There is still tons of silver out there. You just have to find what works in your area to find them. This is my last three days of hunting. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1484523758.506356.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1484523777.815000.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1484523798.798584.jpg

It's a little bit of work but worth it.So I found a branch of bank that has coin counting machines that accept half dollars. I bring in enough halves to fill up the $1000 bag and then buy the full bag back from them. Not only am I finding lots of silver halves but also a war nickel, a silver dime and other coinage. Good Luck

My banks are getting tired of me. Over the last few years I have had numerous boxes, now nothing like 1 a week, but about Christmas I got a box with two 40%'ers and last week a box with 14, including two enders. First ever enders for me.

I've opened accounts at multiple banks to make it easier. I'm a contractor so I'm in different areas all the time. Keep your heads up and it will come.

Dannycoco , Thank's for sharing ! I was wondering if you find that most banks are willing to sell you the full bags ?

Danny: you have to remember that NOT ALL banks that most of us CRH's use sell bags off their counting machines. In my case only one bank in my 10-mile radius will sell bags off their machines. Other branches of the same bank do NOT sell their bags. It varies depending on where your at.

to give you a bit of hope_____after $120K ( 240+ boxes) searched in 3+ years, I have 80 90% which include '64's, Bens & Walkers. 330 40% halves plus a few errors, MS proofs & NIFC, magic trick coins, a few junk Canada & Balboas. included in these totals are the loose and a few CWR. tellers will generally have a few halves in the tray, mostly clad & the lowly 1976-- always take them all. the average per box of 1976's will fall in at 14 to 17% :BangHead: I search all denoms, I will search a rock if I think there is a snake under it, and then I will search the snake to see if he has a coin in his mouth :dontknow::laughing7:

No prob MackinawGirl. Good luck. Dozer D I must have lucked out then. My bank has 14 locations within a 20-30 mile radius. I have 10 more to hit this week. I'll let everyone know what I get. I'm up to 550-40% halves and about 50 walkers, Frank's and kennedys.
