Picked up $15 in CWR cents yesterday. Every single wrapper was marked with a huge X. Naturally, I figured I just picked up 8 pounds of zinc.

Went through a few rolls tonight, and it turned out to have as much copper as normal for my area: 26.6% to be exact. I have to assume the hunter who turned them in was searching for wheats instead, as I haven't found any yet.

Oh, and I found a 1943 Merc out of $105 in dimes - my first Mercury head since 2015! :hello2:

FT this is very common in my area (exceptionally common unfortunately). What is amazing about them is there often arranged in the rolls by, wait for it...., color. Not date but color. Bright red on one end, brown on the other. Smooth continuum across the roll. Have never found a wheatie in these but can't fathom who or why someone would do this. There is some serious penny volume being hunted in my area. 6-8 wheaties / box is average.
