Though...I guess technically 5 silvers ;-)

If the info I found is correct, this would be the lowest mintage Elizabeth II canadian dime there is (besides some test ones). Not bad.

Speaking of low mintages: what does everyone do with the 2009's they find? The D is under 50 million, making it the 18th(?) lowest minted Rosie. Are they worth holding onto? What about the P's? Right now I'm keeping them all, but considering dumping P's... Thanks for any input! Happy hunting everyone!

It has been 8 years since I’ve seen a single 2009 Dime or Nickel in circulation. I used to get whole boxes in my area, (P&D) and would get mad they were new because I wouldn’t find Silver that week. I remember saving several rolls worth of each to hold onto just cause. I did recently find some 2009 halves though.

In all actuality, they will never be worth big bucks. Why? Mintage is not the sole indication of rarity. Other factors are at play, supply and demand being one, but also survival rates being another and just as important. The 2009 Coins were heavily, and I mean HEAVILY hoarded in 2009 and 2010 onward, so much of the original issue has survived in quantities, fairly high grade nonetheless.

I don't consider 50 million "low" mintage, nor do i think collectors will in the future. With that said, uncirculated rolls used to sometimes sell for a nice premium on ebay. Don't know if they still do or not.

Like others have said, so many people horded 2009 coinage that on 100 years, one will have an easy time finding a 2009 coin in MS condition.

Thanks for the input all! I put the 09Ps back into circulation. Still a little hesitant on the Ds, but I'm sure when my next pay check runs low that'll change :-p
