Man, stuffs dried up since I finished my Jeffersons. 3 bags of pennies and 3 bags of nickels without much to show for it. Last nickel bag yielded 2 nice ones though. First, this 1962:

Not sure if its just a nice '62 or proof, as Monticello does have that slightly "frosted" look to it, but not so much for Jefferson. Either way, nice enough coin to find.

Also find this one too, no question on it:

9th proof for sure, just wish it was the Buffalo instead. Love/hate looking through the nickel book and seeing all the amazing designs they didn't choose. Well, onto my 6.5 bags of pennies to tide me over til Monday... Happy hunting everyone! Also, Happy Thanksgiving!

Also, when looking for proofs pre-65, don't look for the frosted devices as that is the rarity. You are looking more for the strike and the mirror-like field. As a giveaway (not really applying to circulation finds as it difficult to see, but it could happen), many of the early proofs will have evidence of lint strike-thru as the dies were polished by hand. When the business strikes were produced, they are minted until die failure/fatigue and then replace the die and continue with another run.
