Picked up a bag of halves today.
This is what I can see just on the outside of the bag.
This should be fun.
I have lots to do this weekend so it might take me a few days to go through.

What would prevent you from doing it in a single sitting after your busy day ? Might take an hour if you relax with a beer or two ! ( looks like a winner)

I could not wait to search the bag.
Not as good as I had thought but still pretty good.
53 silver halves

40% 35
1964. 11
Ben's. 5
WL. 1
1947 SILVER MEDIO BALBOA. 1

Certainly better than any 2 boxes I have had so far this year.

Also a cool 1935 Buffalo Nickel that had been turned into a button.
And the 2 medallions. 20190405_173553.jpg 20190405_173620.jpg 20190405_173613.jpg 20190405_173631.jpg 20190405_173641.jpg 20190405_173706.jpg 20190405_173716.jpg 20190405_173735.jpg 20190405_173755.jpg

That's a Great bag in my estimation ! I remember getting 2 bags of half dollars on a short road trip - I found 55 silvers from the 2 bags , I was elated ! Its a bit like finding a cache when you consider how long it would take to find 50+ silver half dollars while metal detecting ( unless you dug a cache )

53 silver halves! Hang on and I will go get you a kleenex. Are you kidding me! Have not seen that many halves in a very long time. Good for you!

Nice going, 53 silvers is pretty awesome. My very first bag I bought was a partial bag ($340), it gave up 51 x 40%ers. I haven’t come close to that mark in half dollar bags since then, even the full ones. Enjoy the new stack!

I would consider that as a VERY GOOD BAG to catch so many halves, nice job.

Thanks everyone.
I'm not complaining about 53 silver halves.
However, when I saw how many I could see on the outside I had Hopes and thoughts of my first DREAM bag.

Never thought about a Dream Bag before. If a Dream Box is 100 silvers or more, is a Dream Bag 200 silvers or more since a Bag is $1000?

I don't know how wedded to the 100 in a box we have to be ? I do know I would be jacked if I found 50 -100 in a single bag !! ( the days of LJ seem like a lifetime ago !)

Shoot, I've been hunting for 35+ years and the finds have been so meager that 10 halves is a friggin dream.
This has been a dismal year so far.
I search 6 boxes a week and am out a few days a week banking.
This 53 is more than I have found all year so far.
I had been averaging around 60+ a month over the last few years.
