I haven't had Spam in 30 years. Hot dogs don't normally bother me. Maybe it's just the heat out there. I'm having a hard time getting out of my own way.

There are many varieties of Spam today. My buddy and his wife are retiring to Hawaii and he sent a pic of the Spam section in the supermarket - it took an whole side of an aisle. The only thing about hot dogs that bothers me is the criticism from others.

This heat is awful. If not for our amazing 1 year old grandson, we would have moved to Maine by now, like the Maryland lobsters have done.

I didn't know there was more than one Spam either, makes sense in Hawaii as they love Spam.

As a Hormel shareholder I say go for it.

Not a big Hot Dog fan as I ate way too many of those in college in the 80's, back then cheese dogs were the latest innovation.

    Good luck out there,

    Pete

HRL was on my watchlist for years because of the dividend. But my Verizon stock pays more than twice as much and ATT nearly three times as much. Here's a new pumpkin spice Spam flavor coming soon:

I have bought CWRs of dimes that were stamped with a bank name that went out of business about that time, so the paper rolls can stick around for decades.

Silver dollars have been 38.1mm in diameter from 1840 to 1978, so paper rolls used for Ikes would fit any of those.
Thanks. Thatís what I assumed but none of my banks ever have any Ikeís in.

I see Amazon sells wrappers for Eisenhower, Morgan and Peace dollars, the $20 roll.

Fistfulladirt, that's news to me. Cool. Wish I had enough to fill a roll.

Is there a market for the regular, circulated clad Ikes? I've used them to hold down paper money tips.

Oh absolutely. I like to do that every once in a while. Heck even my wife bought some food from the grocery store and paid with some halves and the cashier told her that they couldnít take fake money and had to get a manager to allow the coins. I could only imagine what it would have been if it was an Ike.
