Hello I don’t know a lot about coin errors but I’ve recently started going through my pocket change every day Came across this 2018 penny with a hole in it . In the hole don’t seem to be a perfect circle so I’m assuming somebody didn’t drill it but any help on this would be highly appreciated thank you

Welcome to the forum.
That would be called "Zinc Rot".
The copper plating gets a hole in it and the zinc starts to deteriorate and a hole is formed. Pretty common and is considered PSD (Post Strike Damage) and/or PMD (Post Mint Damage)

Cclantz, welcome to Tnet! Close to 100% of the time, PMD adds no additional value to a coin. That is the case with your coin...still worth one cent. If you like looking at your pocket change for errors, I suggest that you Google some basic errors to start out with. Know what a double die error looks like. Know what a cud error looks like. Know what a clip error looks like. Cracked die, etcetera. There's a bunch of cool stuff out there if you can identify the difference between a true error and PMD.

Zinc rotting from the inside out, or a bad batch of plating blister.
