Found in my coin roll loot.
It's missing material to fill out the L I and ridge.
Is it a keeper or a KEEPER!

Definately an odd coin. Is it thinner than normal on that side?

I wouldn't think it'd be worth a bunch, but any silver is great in my book!

High value errors generally come from flaws in the dies, not the planchets.

I keep the occasional odd ones like this myself-

Yes it is just a bit thinner.
as you can imagine, I had slight hope it would be like finding
one of those stamps with the upside down airplane or something.

If it is thinner, it is probably after mint damage. But hey, silver is silver. Still a keeper.

I see no sign of damage. There is no sign of it being ground, filed or worn off.
If it was hit or smashed there would be some sign of the displaced material.

could be a rolling error where the metal was too thin.
Weigh the coin, see how far off spec it is. Does the back have a similar problem were the rim is missing too? Or is the other side unusually thick?

Hmm, the back looks normal...
I was going to measure thickness but found my 1in. Mic. is frozen.
Haven't touched it it 6 yrs....oops
