Looks like a copper Maravedis.  Ferdinand VII of Spain.  The coin bears the Mexico City mintmark.

It's a War of (Mexican) Independence , Royalist Issue. Fernando VII 1/4 copper, tlaco, equivalent to 1/8 real. It's 20mm in diameter and several years ago was worth $12 (VG) to $60 (EF). The coin was issued in only 1814, 1815, and 1816.
Great find.
