I have a small hoard of silver coins from proof sets, and I was wondering what the value is over regular silver coins. the coins are mainly half dollars and stuff. Here is what I have:

1961 25 cent X1
1962 10 cent X1
1962 25 cent X1
1963 10 cent X2
1963 25 cent X2
1963 50 cent X1
1964 10 cent X1
1964 25 cent X1
1976 25 cent X2
1976 50 cent X1
1976 1 dollar X1
1994 10 cent X1 silver
1994 25 cent X1 silver
1994 50 cent X1 silver
1965 50 cent X2 s.m.s.
1966 50 cent X2
1968 50 cent X10
1969 50 cent X5
1970 50 cent X1

Oh yeah, I plan on selling them to a dealer so what would be a reasonable price to expect. I want to sell my silver and buy some shiney new wheat pennies for my collection.

I wouldn't sell them to a dealer. I would sell them on Ebay even if I never sold anything on there before. Check the completed listings for what your coins have been selling for lately. If you've never done it before, just sign in as a guest and hit the "advanced search" feature next to the search box. After the new page appears type the coin name in the key words/ item number box, check the "completed listings" box under "search including" and all the completed listings will show for the last 30 days I believe. The price of the ones that sold are listed in green. Mor than likely in my experience with dealers you won't get near what they're worth. You probably won't even get the melt value for them.

I tried selling them on ebay a while back and didn't have much luck. I guess I could try selling them as a lot. I don't remember why they didn't sell, but I remember it was a headache. I may give it a shot. Thanks for the input.

If I was going to sell them on ebay I would do so as a lot.
Individual coins are inexpensive, so people dont like to pay as much shipping as they pay for the coin. Search ebay to see if there are any similar lots. You may get a better idea of value.

What date Wheat Cents are you looking for?? Possible trade??

i doubt there is much interest in those at a price above spot.

I collect mostly circulated coins. The one half in that age range that is hard is the 70-D because I think it was only released in mint sets. check your 70 half to see the mint mark - i'm guessing S.
