1982 dimes

Is it just me or do an unusual amount of the 1982 dimes seem to have a large portion of the surface of the 2 shaved down? It's like the coin was ground down or damaged and yet I see no striations or damage to the edge directly adjacent to the 2.

Maybe it's just me.

Looks like a light strike ~ not real dramatic or collectable being that minor.

Almost more of an example of poor minting than an error coin.

Yeah I didn't think it was anything special- just an observation mostly. I have however nearly given up looking for a no mint 82'. I've been looking for nearly 5 years now with no luck but I can't bring myself to buy one.
