Found this little beauty a few weekends ago in a hunted out colonial site in the South Carolina lowcountry. I was using my new omega 8000 for only the second time. I've already been made quite a hefty offer on it but even though the offer was substantial I've wanted to find one of these for over 20 yrs. I've decided to hang on to it for now. I've dug a few nice things this year but so far this tops them all. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Based on the clarity of the pictures, and with minimal wear, I'd guess this coin was barely circulated...

Maybe have it professionally cleaned and slabbed...might have a keeper :thumbsup:
