It takes 7 40% halves to make an ounce of silver. At almost $13 an ounce it doesnt take rocket science to figure out they are worth keeping. I have almost 600 of them and could sell them now for an almost $600 profit. If someone dont think that is worth it, then they are nuts or dang sure have more money than I do!

Actually if you can find Silver clad half dollars they are worth pulling from circulation and selling them for melt value. I live in rural north central Iowa and I have a buyer for silver or gold. If you wanna know what a silver clad half is worth in melt value then take silver spot price times .14792. You can get spot price at www.kitco.com/market . Example: If spot price is $13.
13 x .14792=$1.92
