value
Guy at coin shop offered &97.00 is that about right ?

yeah in the red book vf 80 bucks...blue book is 35 bucks...go to book store if ya can and look @ grade book and compare....if he is offering ya red book price.....i'd take a long hard look @ it...just be careful

The only Red Book i have is the 44th.edition 1991
in that it says F-VF $45.00-$65.00 so it hasen`t changed much.
But i get to some coin places on the web i`t much hirer.

Personally, I can't read the date, but assume you can.
From what I see, it's a G-4; maybe a VG-8 if the date is distinct.
2012 Red Book (retail) is $22 and $40 respectively.
Nearly 14M minted; 3rd most populated in entire series.

PS: I'm with Turberale--sell it at $97 if you have that offer.

Hey thanks everybody
im not tryin to sell it i like it ,i found it last fall while Mding in a park in Watkins Glen. I can see the date pretty good but my cam sucks.
The ground is frozen here and i was bored, and so i took it to the coin shop.Maybe hes a better man than i thought.Got out yesterday and found an 1852 LC and a 1892 IH it was hard digging and got snowed out in the first hr.

It can't possibly be a 1916 since the '16 had no stars under the eagle (and had no mint mark).

This coins condition is a AG03,It's still silver and I believe that it maybe worth from $30.00-$40.00. What that guy offered is way over,I would take that.
