Found this tonight and have not found much info on it. I gave my son all the books that I had. It seems to be English but I don't know. It is about the diameter of a large cent. It seems to be struck off center. I need better light. Thanks for any help.

I am starting to believe this is a French coin of the time of either Louis XV or XVI. We'll see I guess.

This appears to be what it is Mackaydon. Coinage from all European countries was well used in this area. Thanks for taking the time to search it out and post.
