My answer is about 99.9% sure that any silver found would have been put there just to sell a lot more.
I didnt look for sellers with that in the listing since my goal was to build a collection.
Did not see any in the coins I searched.

Worked on my 2 lb lot from todays coin show (tried from a local coin dealer to see if would get more in future).
lots of canadian pennies and nickels all diff dates so maybe they just dumped a collection in the tray.
Added about 10 more countries and have maybe 13 coins to ID left. 290 coins in lot paid under 6 cents ea.

Hand picked about 24 coins for $3 from another table (12.5 cents each).

Just a thought. Have you looked into Goodwill auctions? They are always selling foreign coins by the pound.

Post a pic of the unidentified coins. What was the oldest coin in the lot?

I did not look at all the dates yet just sorted by country in bags. UK 1917, France 1921, some from Japan and Germany WWII era.
Could be older coins I am not sure.

signed up for numista so probably will have my coins listed on there at some point.

Here are my 2 mentioned unidentified Arabic language coins

Thanks for the coin IDs. I was surprised at the dates and values.
Anyway I am happy with the coin lots for the variety and price.
If I get stuck again Ill post another thread with details for more expert help.

Saw such a lot on ebay from seattle goodwill. Never been to a live auction though. Have to check if any are in my area.
