Ok so today decided to go out to the local flea markets and give a try and finding some wheaties. Well low and behold found this "gem". Would anyone like to guess the price I gave?

Ok I didn't rob the guy. Actually gave him more than what he was asking for it.

Coins like that started the saying ''cost a pretty penny''.

Very true. Whenever we bought our first 1909 S V.D.B. people that we had lost our minds lol. They would as "you gave that for a penny?" Lol

That's a real nice lookin' wheat. I would bet $10 is a fair price. Either way, I'd love to have a coin like that in my collection. I get most of mine through coin roll hunting, so I rarely find wheats that old in that condition. nice buy!

Thanks. I am working on complete set. I have all coins minus the 1922 plain. Am completely uncirculated from 1935-2012. All semi and key dates are in extra fine condition. Have been working on the set for about a year now and am still upgrading as I go along.

High BU wheaties look great at any date. The earlier ones just have a special look and feel to them.. I love my 09 VDB.. not slabbed but I would say its atleast a 63. Bought it at a LCS the other day.
