Coins from first beach hunt.

Myrtle Beach. Weather was pretty bad. But did get out a few days. But not terrible for a rookie.

First finds using the F4 in the sand. Did great. I figured out the tones and ground balance.

Couple 1960`s pennies and a 1960`s quarter.

Some of the pennies are so deteriorated I can't see the date.

Anyhow, had a great time. Got some peace and quiet. Have 3 more beach trips this summer, maybe will up the score next time.

Thanks....No riff..media garbage. Grif made a comment and the media blew it out of proportion.

they sure did. however it seems these kind of things follow shanahan since he came to dc, is it all made up? I know his comments about mcnabb were contradictory

What he says about McNabb was correct, he was basically too stupid too run the offense and refused to wear an arm band with the plays.

Shanny should have taken Grif out of the Seattle game. He is an ego maniac, but he over hauled the entire roster and got us our first division title in 20 years.

OT: I think we got 2 good q's. Yet everyone questioned our selection of cousins and look how he performed under huge pressure vs bmore. I think we will be fine to start the season offensively its the secondary we need to patch up.

Keep it in the vinegar. I would say the tumbler is a great investment.

Vinegar for the cents, what about the others? Quarters, dimes, nickles.

Thanks

For silver I use water and baking soda, equal parts and let it soak 20 mins, flip sides after 10. But they say coins should not be cleaned. Just soak don't rub to clean.

Vinegar and salt for the cents may actually increase corrosion. For the clad, it is a good, but slow way to clean.

You had some pretty good luck finding the 90% silver addition! :icon_thumleft: I searched a good 5 hours the last two days and have come up with about $3 in clad... I hit two 1966 quarters but I'm still on the hunt for that silver or a wheatyyyyy :notworthy:

I'm in Myrtle Beach now & this is my first trip MD'ing. Can I ask where you had the best luck at- down by the water or closer to the dunes?
My first trip out I came back with a 1973 quarter, a penny I can't make out the date on, & two tent stakes.
I'll be going out in the morning and then again in the evening after the Redskins take care of the Packers :)
