Copper Coated Bronze Penny?

I was just taking a walk and I happen to find this what appears to be a 1979 copper coated bronze penny. That brown color that is on the penny is copper... not dirt. Underneath the coating the penny is a bronze color. I have never seen a penny like this and I never seen a penny get its copper worn that much off. I weighted the penny and it weights 0.11 oz. What do you think of this penny?

Even if it is plated with copper, it will have no extra value.

Cents in 1979 weren't plated. Chances are what you are seeing is either a stain or environmental damage.

I was expecting this thread to be about a British Penny, who's official composition before (1992?) was listed as "Bronze", and someone dipped it in pure copper. The copper cent, at least from what I know, it's composition is listed as "copper". Technically speaking, I think the british penny had a higher percentage of copper (97-98%?) and the Cent had (roughly 95%) if anything the Penny should be called copper and the cent should be called bronze.
