Hey All!

I have been detecting for a few years now and been in Raleigh for 3 years. Not being from the area originally I am always looking for help and recommendations. Does anyone have suggestions on areas to detect for either relics or coins, around the Raleigh/Durham area? I know there is a lot of history around here but many great hot spots are on private land or are now historical sites meaning NO DETECTING. I could really use some help.

Butner is 30 miles to your north and was a WWII training camp that trained roughly 1,000,000 troops.
Quite a few of the original buildings remain, and there are many places to hunt.
You do have to be careful though as live ammo is still found there.
