I am coming up with 24-R, which is a better variety. don't take that to the bank though, there are a couple of guys on here that know more about New Jerseys that will be along.
Thanks . How did you guess what type? I looked at some variations online and my eyes were going bugeye. Couldn't figure out how to tell the difference.

It is a bummer it has a dot of corrosion, but quite frankly, I'm just happy to own a coin from the 1700's! I don't collect coins, so this is quite special to me.
It is a wonderful coin, a lot of the earlier coppers have some degree of corrosion. Take care of it, and whatever you do, don't try to clean it in any way. Congratulations on a great piece of history!
