How exactly do the swaps work Is it simply based on mailing coins and trusting the other individual??

As far as I can tell.
Check feedback with potential swappers and start with small swaps until you feel comfortable with others.
If someone is a rip-off, they won't be on the site long....
I'm not sure about how to deal with an unsatisfactory swap.
And I hope never to have to investigate that situation.
I'm sure that there are methods in place....

I've just finished negotiating 4 different trades.
One to Virginia, one to Germany, one to Lithuania and one to Slovakia.

I'll post when I have more info on how it all went.

Navigation is a bit tricky and I'm still learning how to make sure that everything is correct.
The Members that I'm negotiating with are very helpful.

I now am a "regular swapper" and have had no problems.

A cool way to closing in on completing my German 10 pf KM12 collection among others....
The downside is that foreign swaps are not cheap to ship and the wait time is almost unbearable.
I've already received 2 swaps from the US and the one from Germany.
Still waiting on Latvia and Slovakia.

Working on about 5-6 new swaps right now, trying to come to agreements.

I have to date conducted about a dozen trades from all over the world and the US and have had no problems.
I just sent off a swap lot to Romania and have a fairly large lot to send to France.

I know, over-seas postage is brutal, but sometimes that's where the ones that you want are....

I'm currently negotiating another 5-6 swaps.

Not a bad way to spend winter days....

I've got about 4000 coins listed in my swap stock and have many more to add including tokens and bullion.

I HIGHLY recommend this "SWAP SITE!"

I have just started using this site and I agree, it's a great place to get coins. The focus seems to be on world coins, which I really don't collect, but I have picked up some good U.S. coins. The overseas shipping is expensive, so I am going to try to stick to swaps in the U.S.

I've since conducted over two dozen swaps worldwide and have never had a problem,
regardless of shipping by any country thus far. Except the outrageous cost of overseas postage.....
All negotiations have proven to be beneficial.

I am closing in on 50 swaps world-wide and have "met" many fine folks.
I've also swapped some commons of mine for some SWEET coins.

I've been "burned" only twice and made sure that those individuals were banned.

I always check their feedback rating and decide accordingly if I'll swap with them.

I've swapped with the same folks sometimes more than once.

A great site and I encourage all to check it out!

I've also discovered a similar site for world Banknote swappin'.....
