Our eyes met at my lcs yesterday and I could not let her out of my sight. Picked her up off the bid board for $20. When i looked a little closer at her i noticed that she has a repunched mint mark which is really cool. Makes her my first error merc. The best thing is that she displays full bands. Im thinking she could go as high as a MS63??? Currently only 7 have been graded by PCGS and only 2 were MS grades. What do yall think?

I don't think it would make MS65. It's a bit off-center, has a rim ding, and the obverse strike is on the soft side. I don't think it's quite a FSB either. Close but judging by the photo, it doesn't look full. Clean and nice looking coin regardless.

I agree! However, I don't think she was struck off-center. It appears that when she was struck, the Collar had some issues and was either cracking or was severely deformed. The two rim dings/nicks will hurt but she is probably a solid MS-63 and maybe MS-64 and I agree no FSB. She is awfully purty though and congrats!

Boy, those pics are a lot different than the full Reverse (first) pic! That pic sure made the two center Bands appear to be merged in a couple of spots.

Really amazing, with bands like that I'd get it graded for sure and now I think MS 65 is not out of the question at all....

I agree with huntsman53, the second set of pics are much better than the first and confirms it's a FSB. I still don't think it will grade MS65 because of what we mentioned about the obverse. There is one way to find out! Are you a gambler? :laughing7:
