I got a couple things from grandmothers estate this weekend. I was wondering if you think of the value of these couple items. The first one is a 1923 one dollar red seal. I was thinking about having it sent in to be graded.

Also I have a 1917 $2 bill. It is pretty rough but still pretty neat looking old money I think.

Then the last one I got which I'm fairly certain it's around $150-$200. 1883 CC Morgan.

I was thrilled about the silver dollar. My mother text me a picture a week ago saying I was getting a silver dollar. And she text me a picture of the 1922 piece dollars. I would much rather have this one!! But do you think the one dollars worth getting graded?

Your 1923 US $1 Note is valuable.The 2010 Red Book--US Currency values them from $150 in F-12 up to $875 in Unc.-63.
The 1917 $2 (using same reference) shows $125 in F-12 though yours looks more like VG-8 for which the reference didn't give a value.

ebay is a good reference for what things actually sell for, and has bills in all sorts of conditions. I would only grade something if I was wanting to sell it, If i am keeping it the grade doesn't matter to me. your morgan is beautiful and since it is from your grandmother the value to you is more than money.

You can see what many coins, etc. SOLD for by searching the " completed listings " from the left column of the E Bay listings.

I would only have it professionally graded if I was going to sell it online or if there was a dispute (as to condition/grade) with a local buyer.

The 1883-CC is a very, very nice coin. Not the kind I could afford! It's about $210 in MS-60 condition to $230 in MS-63 condition. The S from that year is actually worth the same, if not a little bit more, depending on what condition it is in.
