Small 2 on 1992 D?

I just started CRH'ing about a month ago, and I finally came across something that I thought was fairly interesting. I was going through a $50 bag of pennies today and I saw a 1992 D with the 2 only being about half the size of the 9. I checked some other 1992's when I came across them and didn't see any that were like it.

Anybody know what this is?

Sorry for the horrible picture quality, my phone doesn't like to work up close. For what it's worth, where the circular part of the 9 curves down, is where the 2 stops.

Thanks in advance!

Can't really tell from the photo, but probably just less detail from either a weak strike or struck through grease. Either way there is no added value.

Might also be a thin spot in the planchet when it was struck. The rim looks a bit flat in that area too.
