What J2 said...no need to clean coins...serves no purpose...only destroys the surface of the coin....rinse under water and don't rub

I don't clean my coins unless they're absolutely filthy and I'm sure they aren't rare. If you have no intention of selling or trading it, mild soap and water works well. Also depends upon the metal. Use a lintfree cloth to dry it, and only pat it gently. I guess the more important questions are what coin are you interested in cleaning? And why?
