Unknown Silver Coin, It's Stumped Me Since I Was 6

After reading the 1792 half disme thread I figured I should take a look at some of my stashed away coins.

I was encouraged to start collecting coins at a young age by my great grandfather, grandfather and father so I listened and have done so ever since.

I've been doing some serious housecleaning in the past few days and have started to really dig deep into some of my "rainy day" items. In doing so I came across my early coin collection that my dad had given me years ago. It had been stored in his deposit box since I had no safe storage at such a young age.

One of the coins in that pile had been placed in a coin protector and labeled "unknown coin" by me at around 7-8 years old

It appears to be silver but is heavily worn and has eluded identification for many years. Now that I'm more familiar with coins I think I see a shield on one side but really have no idea. It's definitely not domestic. The size is close to a US quarter but definitely thinner. It appears to be a struck coin with a wavy surface and irregular edges

Does anybody have an idea of what country it might be from or a possible age?

I don't think that's the coin but it's a start. I just searched Charles the 1st coins and came up with a bunch of possibilities. Mine doesn't have the inner ring under the lettering. Thanks for the input!

In the AM, I'll give this more attention.
Meanwhile, I can imagine the coin containing the words MONETA CIVITATIS; certain letters are obvious.
And by turning the bottom coin 90 degrees counter clockwise will better show a man on a horse holding high a sword.

You nailed it on the head. The more i looked at the coin last night, the more i started to see features i didnt notice before, including what could of been a raised arm. I checked the thread this morning and i saw a picture of my coin, including a man on a horse with his arm raised. Thank you so much for the positive ID! Next time im stumped ill post a picture instead of waiting 25 years for an ID
