Hi! This has already been posted in What is It? so I am sorry if you have already seen it. I got these two coins in the mail today along with some others. Are they both English? I believe they are, and I also think that they are both from the 1600s. Please help! Thank you!
The top one is probably Elizabeth I or Charles I - I can't tell the denomination without a scale. The most common are sixpences. A nice find but with so much damage not worth a fortune!
The second one is a Krauwinckel Jetton, made in Nuremburg Germany from the late 16th and early 17th century. These were used as accounting aids in markets so it is possible that your search area was used as a market at that time. This one is the commonest type and only make a pound or two when sold.
