Found a 1916 D merc for sale.. has to be too good to be true.. right?

I don't like.
The brushed appearance on the obverse
The designers initials
the nose and eye socket
Overall wear in places that shouldn't be worn
The N in Unum
Reverse
Overly thick rim with appearance of grind marks at 10 o'clock
Wear where there should not be any
The Mint mark looks distorted

I would run from this coin

Confirm his name, address, phone number, email.... get a sales receipt, and a signed affidavit declaring that you get a full refund if proven to be fake.
Get it graded and slabbed.
If it's real, you win.... big time.
If not, you have legal recourse.

I've had quite an adventure in life, seen many things. And there's times I get those "DREADS" - just a feeling of a "claustrophobia" kinda thing. They've saved my butt many times.

I'd have claustrophobia with this item. I lost a lot of money in gold, silver, stocks, options, etc. I got enough butt kickings to make me lose complete trust in those "Oh Boy" scenarios where you've a chance at a real gain.
