Lincoln cent PCGS holder help

I bought 1946-S and 1949-S lincoln cents, both MS66RD from PCGS. I own very few graded coins and don't know a lot about the holders themselves. Somehow I didn't notice an anomaly with one of the holders. Take a look at the pictures - any thoughts are appreciated.

Also bought a 1938-D Buffalo PCGS MS66 which I'm pretty happy with.

Maybe the best buy is I bought $20 face for $232 which I think is really solid. About 1/3rd halves, 1/3 quarters, 1/3rd dimes. Dimes were 50/50 VG or better Merc's and FDR's with one or two Barbers mixed in. Quarters were all Washington except one AG 1876-S seated. Halves were mostly VG Walkers and Franklins with 2 '64's and 2 G, full rim Barbers. Felt

I would guess maybe it got left in a hot car or something & melted the inside holder. Pcgs will reholder it for like $5 if you take it to a show

How much did you pay for the 38-D? You did pretty well on the pennies. Book value on both of them is around $25 each.

Thanks, I wasn't really looking to buy the pennies but nice coins are nice to have and the prices looked right. Paid right at $40 for the '38-D Buffalo. I think that's much closer to full price but the guy I bought it from helped one of my kids out at a show a couple of months ago so I wasn't going to haggle with him for a few bucks. Been looking to get a MS66 Buffalo because I like the way they look in super high grades. Had been looking around on eBay so I had at least some idea that $40 was in the ballpark.

Full book value for the '38-D is around $65 to $70. When looking for a buffalo nickel in high condition, the 38-D and the 37 are the cheapest. In comparison, a 34-D is worth over $2,500, and almost all the other Buffs are worth well over $100. And for the earlier dates you'd need a good chunk of change to buy those!
