Got out for the first time in forever, found some goodies to keep me happy.
But this one?... no clue.
It’s heavy, like lead heavy. Seems to be old school Arabic, thinking middle eastern, but is it a coin, token, or some fantasy piece.

If I need to weigh it and get it’s diameter, I will, but I’m tired now.

Ok Tnet Gods, shine on me!

Holy crap!... I think it’s silver!
I’m in the process of cleaning it, (and probably ruining it):laughing7:
Looks like 1600 or 1700’s Indian coin!

Wow! It's Persian, I think. I found a lot that are similar in a search. Persian silver coin, looks a lot like ones from late 1600's, early 1700's. You'll have to see if you can narrow it down. Very cool find, Dave!

This is a coin from the Indian Princely state of Hyderabad, a 1 rupee from Islamic year 127(7?), the last digit is somewhat cut off so I can't tell exactly what it is. The design was made from 1275-1286, so it has to be 1275-1279, which corresponds to 1859-1863 in our calendar. My guess of 1277 would be 1861 in our calendar. Here is more info: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces58360.html.

Value is quite low sadly, about $15 I'd say maximum due to the condition. But a very cool thing to find in America, I collect old Indian rupees and I've had to buy all of mine.

Edit: The more I look at it the more I think the date is 1279 so 1863 in our calendar. Compare to this: https://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/co...erabad_ah_1279_ry_6_choice/82435/Default.aspx. It fits the top of a 9 better than part of a 7. And if you look at the top left of the other side, the regnal year is there and it looks like the regnal year 6 which is on the link I provided (Islamic 6 looks like our number 4).
