unusual asian coin

I have a coin/charm that has very clear marking but I am unable to match it to anything else I have found. The yuan and kai seem to be on the opposite sides that they should be on.
Can anyone help identify this. Also, have found no other coin with the peahen on back. One person told me it was a reproduction of a japanese amulet, but still unable to find anything close.

So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).
