This coin 20FCAC6F-203D-43DB-A503-5DBE4B7F5E98.jpeg DA401933-81EB-4D70-9434-2CF389192446.jpeg was found in Philadelphia Pa. at a construction site approximately 25’ below the surface would cleaning it to expose details and date hurt its value

By all means clean it,but carefully & a little at a time. Let us know the outcome, at lease you know it's a large one cent. Should be interesting.

Start with an acetone bath and careful cleaning with a cotton swab until you can determine the date.

Unfortunately it’s not my coin, it’s a friend of mine and the and the company he works for were digging down about 20’ to 25’ below street level to create lower levels of new parking garage when remnants of a privy were unearthed my friend hunts bottles and was searching the privy area is where he found the coin

If there were any bones dug up, the site would have to be shut down for investigation purposes. But yet, very strange how a coin could get down 20'ft. Could have been some type of homestead.
