I don't see doubling, so, I'm a "decepticon"? :icon_scratch: Please have it authenticated, slabbed, and posted here. I'd love to see the results. Maybe we'll all learn something.

First of all, you post both sides of the coin then ask about the doubling. Please point out where you see it. There's more than one kind of doubling. If you see it on both sides of the coin I can tell you right now it's md, the worthless kind. I suggest trying not to be so high and mighty.

Mechanical doubling, as enamel7 pointed out, does not add value. Additionally, MD occurs in every mint, and affects millions of coins a year.

Please do an Internet search of the term “mechanical doubling”, then return with what you find. Unless it is extreme, it does nothing for value.

Time for more coffee.

Hey OP. We love coins and helping.

You know the terminology (Doubled Die, class 6, a variety number perhaps, etc.) but are sketchy on descriptive info or closeups of the areas you are seeing it. You didn't even take the time to mention DDO or DDR to help narrow it down.
Do you realize 1982 LD Lincoln cents had pretty thick devices and letters on all coins?

If you really wanted help why not reply with helpful information instead of petty coat comments!

He hasn't been back since his last post. Personally, he can stay gone. I have no use for people that ask a question, then tell you that you're wrong. It's a dangerous person that knows the terminology but doesn't know what it looks like.

If you actually mutter the OP's screen name to yourself like I did, it sounds like 92Trolls! :BangHead:

EDIT: I doubt they are though since they did include images.

I don't even see any machine doubling, but, It's possible I guess. There might be some minor doubling hidden in the shadows. Nothing there IMO to add any value.

You are so right about decepticons being everywhere! It reminds me of an anecdote...

My wife asked me why I carry around a gun in the house.

And I answered, because of the decepticons!

She laughed, I laughed, the toaster laughed. I shot the toaster.

Damn decepticons.
