Hi everyone, i have another possible common error coin. Can anyone tell me if pennies missing the FG are a common Error? I found this
1971 D without the Designers initials and once again i can't find any info on such an error.

Fairly common. It could be a number of things, or any combination of a grease filled die, over-polished or worn out die, or what looks like might be some old damage in that area that wore smooth while still in circulation.

I like how the rim next to liberty is sort of doubled.
